Academic Support & Student Success

Helping you get the most out of your college experience.

There’s a lot to think about in college, and you have your own strengths and challenges. We’re here to help with your individual needs through different services that make it easier to tackle classes, plan for your future, keep your mind and body healthy, and achieve your college and life goals.

Center for Navigating Educational Success Together (NEST)

Welcome to the NEST – AIC’s Center for Navigating Educational Success Together! As Yellow Jackets, each of you will build a network of support that will help you be successful. To assist you in building that success network, we have created the NEST. Much like Yellow Jackets build nests as their home base, we hope you’ll come to think of this as a part of your home and a one-stop shop that will support you as you progress through your time in college. Within the NEST, you’ll find the following:

Student Success Advising

Student Success Advising

The Student Success Advising Center works closely with first-years, sophomores, and incoming transfer students to explore all aspects of their academic journey through a collaborative mentoring relationship.

The APEX Programs

AIC Plan for Excellence (APEX)

Whether you are a first-year or a transfer student, we know that transitions can be challenging. Most colleges have a first year experience course, but at American International College we believe college is a transformative experience and it is critical to support you as a student for all four years. AIC Plan for Excellence (APEX) is designed to help you make the most of your educational journey; develop relationships with faculty and staff, explore and discuss critical topics, and become connected to American International College. Our faculty are passionate about student growth and building community through their classrooms.

The ACE Program

ACE Program

The AIC Core Education (ACE) Program is a Student Support Services program for first-generation college students. ACE assists students in achieving college success by providing guidance, mentoring and advocacy as they transition through their first year of college.
